Student bus service available from Seattle
The Clearwater School offers daily bus service to our campus throughout the school year to students who live in Seattle. Families who are interested in enrolling their children at The Clearwater School, but cannot drive them to and from school every day, may sign up for bus service and pay a monthly rider fee. Play Days at Clearwater
Most Tuesdays, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
The Clearwater School is hosting Play Days for parents, toddlers and preschoolers. At Play Days your children can engage in free play and you and your child can observe Clearwater students and staff activities and interactions. If you would like to join us for one or more dates, please call (425-489-2050) or email The Clearwater School to reserve a space. Reservations are required.
Information Sessions
Throughout the year, The Clearwater School hosts information sessions, where you can learn about Clearwater and the Sudbury school model on which we are based. There will be a short presentation followed by a question and answer period. Refreshments are provided. Children are welcome, although childcare is not provided. Check the Events calendar for specific dates and times.
Clearwater Commons Seeks New Members
In 2006, several families from The Clearwater School joined together to purchase 7.4 acres across the street from the school and named it Clearwater Commons. The site includes wetlands, wooded spaces and a salmon stream and will house a low-impact, intentional residential community with 16 households, a common house, shared shop, gardens and open space. Groundbreaking is planned for spring 2009.
Inspired by but not directly affiliated with The Clearwater School, Clearwater Commons welcomes individuals and families who share a commitment to community creation, habitat restoration and sustainable living. The Commons seeks new members and has several units for sale. For more information, go to the website.
